National Women in Roofing (NWIR) has announced CEO of Tampa-based North American Roofing Kelly Wade will be the keynote speaker at the networking and mentoring reception during the 2018 International Roofing Expo (IRE.)

The address and event will include a question and answer with Wade following her presentation. Organizers of the event couldn’t be more thrilled with their keynote speaker. “We are thrilled to have Kelly share her story of her career path in the roofing industry that eventually led her to become CEO of this large roofing company,” said Mallory Payne, chair of NWIR’s Mentoring Committee. “Her advice and experience are sure to encourage and inspire everyone attending the event. The NWIR Mentoring Committee works hard to find speakers that are not only influential, but also have powerful stories and passion for this industry.”

Roofing is currently dominated by men in both the field and in the boardroom. Wade will discuss her story and how she managed to succeed in a male-dominated industry and what it takes to compete in the construction industry.

Wade’s Background

Wade joined North American Roofing in 2009 as the Director of Marketing and became the Director of Sales and Marketing within one year. In 2015 she was promoted again to Executive Vice President and Vice President of Strategy. In August of 2017 Wade was named CEO of the company. Since Wade’s hiring in 2009 North American Roofing has seen a growth around 300%.

She points out that her business acumen was influenced by her father’s entrepreneurial spirit growing up in Ohio. She graduated from Miami University with a BA in journalism and has since put together a remarkable career over twenty years in sales, marketing, strategy, and development. Wade is currently working to complete her MBA and earned her Green Belt in Six Sigma from Villanova University in 2014. When not concentrating on market strategy Wade enjoys anything that takes her outdoors.

If you plan on attending the 2018 IRE and want to have your question heard, the NWIR is encouraging you to submit questions. You can find information on question submission at the NWIR’s website. Tentative questions must be submitted by January 31st for consideration at the event.
